MQ6 is a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) detector and can detect and measure gases like LPG Propane and isobutane. The module has both digital and analog pins. Because of digital pins it can be used without even a microcontroller and this is the best choice if the user just wants to detect the gas. The LED on the board will show the availability of the gas. If LED glows then there is gas otherwise it will be turned off. On the other hand the analog pins are used when the user needs to measure the gas in PPM. The analog pins are TTL compatible and work on 5V so they can be easily interfaced with MCU.

This gas sensor module is highly sensitive and very simple to use. It finds application in gas detecting equipment in domestic and industry to detect the presence of LPG isobutane propane alcohol cooking fumes and cigarette smoke .                Features
